Just a quick reminder that the Rain Check workshop at the Fumo Library is Monday, November 2nd, 6:30pm, at the Fumo Family Library (2437 S. Broad Street). Rain Check is a Philadelphia Water Department program that helps residents manage stormwater at their homes. In addition to a free rain barrel, participants can get a downspout planter, rain garden or porous paving installed at a reduced price. The workshop is free, but you do need to register in advance. Even if you’re not interested in a rain barrel, the workshop is a great way to learn about Philly’s water and sewer system.
