Dear LoMo Community,
It brings us great joy to announce that the Park at South Philadelphia High School is finally under way. The green space along the eastern portion of Broad St between Snyder Avenue and Jackson Avenue will soon become a public park. Currently, the land has been leased to Parks and Rec from the school district, and SALT Design Studio has drawn up plans for the park.

We are excited for construction to begin in the coming months, and for our slice of South Philly to become a greener place!
Update in May 2022: the lease for transfer of the land from the School District of Philadelphia to Philadelphia Parks and Recreation has been signed, with construction anticipated to begin in Summer 2022!
